The Domain Trailer has left the parking lot

While it doesn’t have exactly the same ring as ‘Elvis has left the building’, it remains wonderful news because the 7th year of Reading Camp at the Cathedral Domain begins this Sunday, June 22. The Domain hosted the first Reading Camp in 2002 and it has quickly grown from there with another overnight camp at the Pine Mountain Settlement School, and day camps in Danville, Perry Co., Lexington, and, new this year, in Northern Kentucky.

Volunteers Pat Allen, Lucy Cox, Margaret Hill, Terri Koontz, Joe McCauley, and Victoria Slocum helped prepare and package all the instructional materials, decorations, and camp supplies for the Domain trailer and many folks are heading to the Domain tonight to begin setting up “Big Top on the Mountain” for a week of Reading Camp at the Circus.
