Last week at the Cathedral Domain Reading Camp campers in the writing center interviewed teachers, support staff members, counselors, and each other for a newspaper published at the end of Reading Camp. This entry is the last of five entries of the "Reading Rocks at the Domain" Reading Camp newspaper.
A Few Words From the Teachers

C.C. Johnson lives in Lexington ky. She have two cats and enjoys them in life. She likes to meet people and her favorite thing is Reading camp. Camp. She also likes to swim. C.C.’s favorite thing at the circus is watching people on the trapeze. Her husband is dead so C.C. is a widow. C.C. is 74 years old and is currently living. C.C. was born in Chicago.
This is Cheryl Coghill’s fourth year as a reading Camp teacher. She lives in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky with her family. She has two pet cats named Flick and one named Atta. She has two children, both daughters. One of them has been in Mini-camp while we have been in Reading camp. Her favorite thing about reading Camp is getting to know the kids. Her favorite camp song is the song About the boy, the girl and the canoe. After Reading Camp, Cheryl is going to have to go back to her job at work and taking care of her house and family.
Mary Eclov lives in Lexington and teaches at Cardinal Valley Elementary School. She has been doing Reading camp ever since it started 7 years ago. Mary is married and has two sons, Drew, who is 19 and Pete, who is 29. Her hobbies are reading, biking, tennis and walking. Mary’s favorite thing about Reading Camp is getting to meet so many wonderful kids, counselors and teachers. When she gets home, she will be getting ready to teach at another reading camp and making plans for what she will teaching next school year.
Judy Moore was a teacher in Lexington, Kentucky where she still lives. She has two grown-up sons and a daughter-in-law. She has been to 12 Reading Camps and has been doing it for seven years. Judy goes dancing almost every night. She loves to see kids have fun at Reading Camp.
Paula Ott lives in Bourbon County. This is her first Reading Camp. She is going to be starting Reading Camp in Paris, Kentucky in two years. Paula likes playing with her five dogs, two cats who are brothers and watching her fish in her fish pond. She also likes to go snorkeling to look at fish in the ocean. Paula used to teach a long time ago. She says her favorite thing about Reading Camp is being with the kids. Paula’s daughter-in-law named Kate is a mini camp counselor right now. Paula’s son is a fireman and sometimes a nurse at this camp.
Terri Koontz is a teacher in Lexington. Her favorite movie is finding Nemo. She came to camp because she knows how important reading is and she hass always liked going to camp. She is old enough. Her favorite cat is her cat named Shadow.
Bungee Bynum is the boss of Reading Camp. His real job is Reading Camp. He does not have a girlfriend and he thinks they are trouble. Bungee is not his real name. He is a good swimmer. Bungee likes going to Reading Camp and has fun games to play. He made us run around in a big cirkle screeming. Bungee loves clowns.
Karl Lietzenmayer lives in Covington Kentucky. He has been to three Reading Camps here at the Domain. He was born in 1937. He is married to a woman named Peggy and they have lots of boys. His hobbies are singing, leading a choir, and working on antique cars. His favorite things at Reading camp are seeing us gert better at reading and getting hugs from campers.
Lynne Evans lives in Lexington. She is not married and does not have any kids. Her favorite things at Reading Camp are reading and the camp store. Lynne was born in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Campbell Welsh lives in Lexington. She rescues animals and makes stained glass. She also likes to write. This is her first Reading Camp. She likes reading all of our books and loves all the kids because they are terrific. After camp, she and her animals will be playing too. She has to work And take care of her animals.
Margaret Hill said that she was here and that she earned her pay. She stays up late telling funny stories and calls herself the enforcer. She likes playing games with kids. This is her seventh Reading Camp.
Pat Allen lives in downtown Lexington. She has been to six or seven reading camps. She has a husband, her daughter, two grandsons and two cats. She plays golf and she is a clown. Her favorite thing about Reading camp is all of the wonderful children. After Reading Camp, she will be swimming with her grandchildren.
