Curl up and sleep tight at Reading Camp

I've always loved sitting outside and looking at the stars. They never seemed closer than on mid-summer nights, sitting on a mountain side with my legs getting a bit cold from the dewy grass. When the campfire went out and I began to grow tired, I would hurry back into the cocoon of my sleeping bag to read and spend the rest of the night cozily warm. Evenings like these are some of my best memories from summer camp.

But while I always had a sleeping bag to slip inside of, many of this summer's reading campers do not-what for me was a matter of course is for many of our campers an expensive luxury.

Our Camp season opens next week with the Mission House Reading Camp; as you keep this coming season's campers in your thoughts and prayers, please consider sending in a donation to support our overnight campers in the purchase of a sleeping bag to help them through the chilly nights up at the Cathedral Domain and at the Pine Mountain Settlement School. Twenty-five dollars ($25) will purchase sleeping bags for two campers-bags that, at the end of the week, the campers take home with them to use next year when they return to camp or on their next outdoor adventure. Your donation can be made online via Facebook Causes or with a check sent to the Reading Camp office: P.O. Box 610, Lexington, KY 40588.

Good night, sleep tight.

Thank you for your support of Reading Camp.

Reading Rocks!

Faithfully,
Benjamin 'Bungee' Bynum
