I think we made another memory today during camp. Heather Henson was wonderful. How does she command such attention from the campers without ever raising her voice? The campers were genuinely interested in her Reading , and had very good comments and questions about the content . What a treat to receive a signed copy for their gift. I would better describe it as receiving a Treasure.
We continued the afternoon at Millennium Park. Whiffle baseball games, Jump rope, Football, Mother May I, Playground equipment, and Frisbee kept us busy. The weather was a little cool for swimming, but we did not really have any complaints. We promised a pool day tomorrow. We will visit the Community Arts Center (paired 2/counselor). This is a self guided tour to familiarize the campers with the CAC. Viewing the Art Exhibit and reading the titles should be fun and give ideas for our banner painting to be done in the basement of the CAC. When the banner dries I will try to have it hung on the Church fence for parent viewing on Fri, Morning. We will then head for Bunny Davis Pool and hope and Pray for sunshine and warmer temps. If it rains I am officially out of the country until mid-July. These kids are really neat and love all the attention they are getting. The counselors are very high on their list of LIKES. "Hang in There" everyone it is going to be a great day.
